What Is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a safe, non-invasive treatment which uses a special tool (scalpel) at a forty-five degree angle and stroked along the skin, while holding the skin taut to remove “peach fuzz”, as well as dead skin cells. Dermaplane is performed as a stand alone treatment or prior to other skincare treatments to enhance their effectives .This is a wonderful form of exfoliation that can be used with or without chemicals.

Before You Book, Things To Consider...

Ensure you have NOT had Microdermabrasion in the last 7 days

Ensure you have NOT exfoliated in the last 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Ensure in last month you have NOT had a chemical peel. 

AFTERCARE will be advised as follows: 

Use sun protection regardless of the weather

DO NOT have other facial treatments if having a course 

DO NOT use exfoliating products 1 wk after treatment


Contraindications 

1st trimester of pregnancy

Auto-immune disease (Addison's,   Graves disease, Lupus, Multiple sclerosis, Rheumatoid arthritis)

Insulin dependent diabetic

Active shingles

Haemophilliacs

Thin, weak or delicate skin

If you are taking blood thinners (Apixaban, Dabigatran, Heparin, Rivaroxaban, Warfarin)

If you are taking prescription medication for acne (Roaccutane)

Infectious/ contagious diseases

Undiagnosed lumps or swellings

If you are allergic to nickel or stainless steel.

If your skin is HYPER-SENSATIVE
