How It all started

My Journey began when I trained to be a Reflexology Therapist (offering an evening house visit service) after finishing my full-time day job. 

Making people feel good came naturally to me which led me to progress further by learning Holistic massage to then having the courage and drive to leave the office job behind to set up my business from home. I've never looked back. I then trained in Facial treatments and specialised in Dermaplaning which I love!

Covid -19 then changed the world in 2020, I suddenly found myself watching a lot more television than I normally would have, however I'm so glad I did......

I first saw Katy Jobbins (Owner of Permanent Makeup Training Academy & My now mentor) on an episode of Rich House Poor House, Channel 4, I absolutely knew then that I wanted to train 1-1 with her. I found her career journey very inspiring, I knew I could unleash my artistic streak, make people happy, build confidence and maybe help cancer patients one day too. I feel like I have one of the most rewarding careers you could have and love seeing peoples reactions when they have been given a new set of brows, lip colour or lash enhancement.... I can now give people confidence in all sorts of different ways and I get great pleasure from it.

With my artistic background and precise attention to detail I have achieved an advanced permanent makeup status and take so much pride in the reputation I have built for myself.

 I’ve had specialist training in corrective treatments so I am able to perform corrective permanent makeup procedures on unhappy clients that have had their permanent  makeup done elsewhere with poor results.

The colour pigments used at HappySkin by Alison have been specifically formulated through years of research and development using only the finest grades of iron oxides and lakes. These are the same high-quality ingredients found in makeup giants Lancome,  Estee Lauder, Shiseido, Truco, Guerlain, MAC, Channel, and Gucci cosmetic products.

All the pigments used are hypoallergenic and each bottle is sterile, heat sealed, tamper-proof, and encoded with a  lot number and expiration date for your protection.

As well as makeup, our pigments are  also designed for concealing imperfections on burns, scares, cancer,  vitiligo and cleft pallet patients. With a micron count of between six  and eight, they are supremely concentrated meaning far fewer touch ups  over the years.

There really is something for everyone! HappySkin by Alison stocks a  huge range of natural permanent makeup colour pigments which are then custom blended for blondes, brunettes, redheads and clients with silver hair. 

A free consultation is recommended to everyone at least twelve hours before any treatment, during which a  patch test will be performed to ensure that you are not allergic to any  of the products being used for your treatment.

The consultation is also an important opportunity for us to take the time to get to know each other and for you to ask questions and discuss your reasons for choosing permanent makeup.

Crucially, we can also determine what you hope to achieve in terms of shape and colour,  ensuring that you are completely happy and comfortable with the proposed procedure.

All of the pigments used are hypoallergenic but a simple patch test is always carried out prior to treatment so as to be as safe as possible.

If you are traveling a long distance to your appointment, a kit can be sent to your home address along with instructions for you to carry out yourself.

Providing you have no reaction after 12 hours, your full treatment may go ahead.

The treatment takes two sessions to complete. After your first session, your permanent makeup will look very dark and bold for up to 5 days.

This can be a shock for some people but it is completely normal and the colour will soften by up to 70% to give a natural powdered look.

After this, some people want to go darker or would like the shape tweaked a little, so a second session is usually required 4-6 weeks later.
